Raising awareness to end violence against women. The international day for the elimination of violence against women.
I'm talking about the campaign that my sister, Lucia (luciaveracoccaro), has worked on along with the ISFCI, the school of photography in Rome, in 2010, and deployed in late 2013, only.
In Italy, the whole movement was directed by this people riconoscilaviolenza.it. As announced, you won't find any black eyes, neither shamed eyes. There's no woman in the role of victim. The goal is to prevent in order to break their chains once for all. As a matter of fact, photos speak themeselves. Seven women next to their husbands whose faces show a clear message:
Violence has a thousand faces. Learn how to uncover them.
Among these women, there's Lucia (manifest below). Well done sista! This reminds me of the time when she was pregnant. Few days later the photo shooting, she gave birth to Marialuz, my beautiful niece :)
